Dr Radka Newton from Lancaster University Management School and Dr Martyn Evans from the Lancaster Institute for the Contemporary Arts (LICA) travelled to Korea to support alumni and promote Lancaster University. They attended an educational exhibition organised by Lancaster’s partner EDM Education, an event that attracted more than 1,000 students interested in studying in the UK.

The Seoul alumni group gave an informative presentation to the Lancaster applicants, and for the first time had the chance to join two major networks from LICA and LUMS.

The Alumni President, Charlie Lee, who graduated in 2005 and now works for Accenture, said: ”I am very proud to be a part of the Lancaster community. This unique event gave us a chance to pitch for talented applicants to accept a final decision in favour of Lancaster. I would like this case to be recognised as an example of best practice for Lancaster University’s global alumni network.”

Dr Martyn Evans was representing LICA's flagship programme, the MA in Design Management and hopes to return to Seoul in summer to deliver a seminar for Samsung.
